Fences

Here, the saying goes, “If you want to keep it, protect it.” Any American that comes here will recognize right away he is in a different country when he sees every home surrounded by a wall with barbed wire fence and/or metal spikes on the top to prevent anyone from getting over. I like to call it a precaution. It looks weird when you first get here, but after a week or two you begin to understand it’s the Honduran way of life. I don’t live in fear of my life everyday, it’s just different here. You would understand better if you visited Honduras.

Good morning San Pedro Sula

This morning I woke up to the beautiful sunrise out my bedroom window. The city is below and the mountains are far away in the background. Honduras is a beautiful place.
